Group of Optimization of the Web

The Group of Optimization of the Web has opened its doors to undergraduate and graduate students in October 2006. It was founded by the Professors and Researchers Ig Ibert Bittencourt and Evandro de Barros Costa, by the Federal University of Alagoas, more precisely at the Institute of Computing.
The group seeks promoting the development of knowledge
and technologies, based on the tripod of the areas of Artificial
Intelligence, Semantic Web and Software Engineering. The group also
seeks the exchange of information, experiences and discussions of
subjects related to the Brazilian and international growth in these
areas, in all the aspects involved: research, development, innovation,
education and service.
Such objectives are reached through the cooperation
with renowned researchers at Brazil and all over the world, as through
the cooperation with companies.
Presently the
group relies on the participation of many undergraduate and graduate
students, besides the professors of the UFAL and the cooperation with
several research groups.
